She graduated with honours from the English-medium Psychology programme of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences in 2015. She then completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology in 2018 with a thesis on “Childhood Masturbation and Related Factors”, earning the title of ‘Clinical Psychologist’.
During her undergraduate and master’s studies, she completed her clinical internships at Bakırköy Mazhar Osman Mental Health and Neurological Diseases Hospital. There she attended ward rounds on conditions such as psychosis, schizophrenia, addiction, antisocial personality disorder, paranoid personality disorder and borderline personality disorder, and took part in administering psychological tests.
During her undergraduate studies she volunteered with children at TEGV (Educational Volunteers Foundation of Turkey). She also volunteered with the KASAV (Kadıköy Health Education Centre) Association, taking part in preventive and supportive work with high-school students in the ‘Geç Değil’ (‘Not Too Late’) project run in cooperation with the Green Crescent (Yeşilay). Also during her undergraduate studies, she worked as an intern psychologist at various kindergartens and clinics.
Individual psychotherapy addresses a person’s emotional and mental difficulties, helping them understand themselves better, discover their strengths and reach their life goals. This process involves working one-to-one with a psychotherapist in a therapeutic setting where the client feels safe.
Child and adolescent psychotherapy supports the mental, cognitive and social development of children and young people aged 0–18, helping them overcome the difficulties they face during this period. Strengthened by the involvement of parents, the process gives children and adolescents a safe space to express themselves.
